COLDSHIELD Thermal Shield Gel is a patent pending material that is environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-flammable. It is designed to stop heat from travelling through most metals. It will help prevent distortion to metals & plastics caused by the heat. Just apply a bead of ColdShield Gel to the surface of the metal and it will absorb the heat from welding, brazing or soldering.

The one property which makes COLDSHIELD Thermal Shield Gel truly amazing, is its ability to provide a heat barrier from direct open flame contact. It will keep the materials it is applied too completely cool even under direct contact to Map Gas and welding torches. The barrier is so efficient, COLDSHIELD can be applied to thin plastic (ie. Tennis ball containers) and a direct flame from a Map Gas torch (3000^o F) will not even distort the plastic. The beneficial effects of the ColdShield cannot be underestimated.

ColdShield Thermal Shield Gel has temporary fire retardant properties. ColdShield prevents fire from occurring or spreading to treated areas. It provides hours of protection for materials compromised during welding or soldering. Spray combustible materials with ColdShield when soldering to keep materials from catching fire. A water damp rag is all that is used to clean ColdShield.

ColdShield has a wide variety of uses:

• Protect compromised areas from damage during welding or soldering
• Pre-Apply Paste to copper pipe to stop heat from travelling down the pipe
• Use as a thermal block to stop heat from traveling to unwanted areas (ie. Valves)

ColdShield Thermal Shield Gel is currently available in 32 oz. Trigger Spray Bottles. It is used where a thin layer of material is sufficient for protection. The ColdShield Paste is a thicker version of the gel used for your most critical applications (ie. Expansion & reversing valves and surfaces which require the ultimate in protection). It is available in 32 oz. wide mouth jars.
