In most hotels/motels, large commercial buildings and many newly constructed homes they are plumbed with a recirculation system. This system consists of a pump and a return pipe from the far end of the building. This pump circulates the hot water thru the lines providing instant hot water at the fixtures.

In existing buildings where this system is not installed it is necessary to wait for the hot water to get to the fixture you are using. The patented AquaLine® uses the existing cold water line as a return line eliminating the need to install a new recirculating line.

There are TWO Basic Systems

Installations with Basements and Two or More Story Homes

This system is for installations where:
a) The hot water heater is on the lowest floor or in the basement.
b) The problem fixture is on a higher floor.
c) The hot water piping goes up to that fixture with NO downturns or heat traps.

With these conditions met, all that is needed is the AquaLine® valve installed at the problem fixture. ALL the fixtures in that line, from the hot water heater to the problem fixture, will enjoy instant hot water!

Installations for Single story homes

Two components are required for this system to work:
a) An AquaLine® valve, with temperature control, will be required at the furthest fixture from the hot water heater.
b) A circulating pump must be installed at the hot water heater. This pump and timer comes with the AquaLine® system.

The timer should be set during installation.

Setting the timer- Set the timer to come on 15 minutes before the hot water is needed. For example, if you normally get up at 5:30 am you would set the timer to come on at 5:15 am. Set it to shut off when you are normally finished. For example, if you are finished about 6:15 am set the timer to shut off at 6:15 am.

The timer is programmable for the full 24-hour period. With this you can program the timer to let you enjoy instant hot water in the morning, noon and evening! By setting the timer to the times hot water is needed you conserve energy (money).

Things to Check Prior to Ordering:

1. Is the pipe from your hot water heater going into your house copper, galvanized or plastic? If your pipe is other than copper you will need adapter fittings.

2. What is the size (outside diameter) of the pipe from your hot water heater going into the house? (5/8"OD = 1/2" pipe or 7/8"OD = 3/4" pipe) 5/8" OD will require kit 3, AHP-T50S, 7/8" OD will require kit 4 or 5, AHP-T75S or AHP-T75C.

3. Under the problem fixture, is the supply tube (a) metal or plastic? If this supply tube is plastic or corrugated a new 3/8" metal supply tubes will be required.
